How ourdream responds to self-harm and suicide
Content that depicts, encourages, or gives instructions for suicide or self-harm is not allowed, including in fiction and roleplay. This is how that rule is enforced.- Every user message and every character reply is screened before delivery for suicidal ideation or self-harm, in any language and including indirect phrasing.
- If a user’s message is flagged, the character does not reply. The user sees a notice that points them to crisis support services, including a suicide and crisis helpline and the country-by-country list on this page. In some regions the notice is a dialog the user must acknowledge.
- If a character’s reply is flagged, it is withheld and replaced with a filtered-content notice carrying the same crisis support referral. The user can rewind or ask for a new reply.
- ourdream is not a crisis service. Characters are AI and no clinician monitors conversations. If you or someone else is in danger, contact the services on this page directly.
